NSS is committed to hiring students on an ongoing
basis. We have an excellent developmental student program that provides
exposure to different sides of our business. NSS hires throughout the
year for co-op, non-coop and internship positions.
The work involves performing safety and engineering
analyses using state-of-the- art engineering software, and interfacing
with other engineering disciplines. Staff may be involved in the
analysis and preparation of documents in support of regulatory
submissions. Employees may participate in the development, verification,
testing, documentation and validation of computer codes used in safety
and engineering analysis, and in the development of new analytical
methods and models related to safety and licensing issues.
The successful candidate is expected to have sound
fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principles. The
position is suitable for candidates with superior analytical and problem
solving skills, as well as an aptitude in numerical/computational
analysis. Candidates with advanced knowledge in various disciplines,
such as computational fluid dynamics, two-phase flow and heat transfer,
engineering material properties, risk assessment, and physics are highly
desirable. Excellent written and oral communication, time management,
and interpersonal skills are required.

equivalent.
